The Book of Changes

The I Ching - Yìjīng, 易经, known as The Book of Changes, is one of the oldest and most significant texts in the Chinese Classics, influencing religion, philosophy, culture, leadership, governance and everyday living. Dating back to the Zhou Dynasty (1000-750 BCE). It consists of 64 Hexagrams, or Scenarios, each comprising six lines that are either broken or unbroken, symbolizing *yin* and YANG, and accompanied by philosophical commentaries and interpretations. Employed both as a divination tool and a guide for moral decision-making, the I Ching emphasizes balance, harmony, and the understanding of change in the natural and human worlds.
