The historical account of the Apostle John, a testament to the story of the life, and the essence of the teachings, of a man named Jesus, who was born in Bethlehem, in the Roman province of Judea, 2000 years ago. Thirty-three years later, he was declared guilty of heresy by the Sanhedrin, and given a death sentence, sanctioned by Pontius Pilate, the Governor, then carried out by his soldiers, who crucified him on a hill outside of Jerusalem.

Within forty years of these events, Nero was burning Christians at the stake in Rome, and feeding them to lions in the Colliseum. Within three hundred years, the Roman Emperor Constantine declared Christianity the official state religion of Rome. Within a thousand years, Christianity had spreadh throughout all of Europe, North Africa, Judea and the Levant. Today it is the biggest religion in the world, with nearly a third of all religious adherents.
